It was his parents, gunsmiths and owners of a shooting range near Saint-Lô, who gave him a taste for shooting. At the age of 13, Eric joined the BTC Bréville club, where he has remained ever since. Three years later, he joined the French national team. Qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics, he finished in 7th place. Since then, he has never relinquished his position as French number 1, even reaching the world's top 4 in 2020. Eric Delaunay has his sights set even higher.
