DIELEN® D3+, a unique formula
Vitamin D3 combined with its co-factor, magnesium
The enzymes that convert vitamin D3 into active vitamin D work with magnesium, their enzyme cofactor.
That's why the Dielen® D3+ formula combines vitamin D3 with magnesium.
High-dose daily doses
70% of French people suffer from inadequate vitamin D intake. Dielen® D3+ provides a daily dose of 2,000 IU or 50 µg of vitamin D3 per capsule. It has been established that daily intake is better adapted to the body's daily needs.
Vitamin D3 solubilized in EPA/DHA omega-3s
Vitamin D3 is fat-soluble. It must be accompanied by fats to promote its absorption. That's why Dielen® D3+' s formula solubilizes vitamin D3 into fish oil, which is rich in essential omega-3s.
Dielen gastro-protective film coating
Dielen® D3+ capsules benefit from the specific coating that protects the nutrients from gastric acidity by delaying their release into the intestine. Lamination does not use chemical additives , but only naturally occurring gums.

The Benefits of Vitamin D
Vitamin D has multiple essential functions in the body:
Calcemia
Vitamin D contributes to normal blood calcium levels. It is involved in calcium absorption in the intestine and reabsorption in the kidneys.
It is important to respect the recommended doses to limit the risk of overdose and associated hypercalcemia.
On bones and skeleton
Bone structure owes its solidity to mineralization by calcium and phosphorus.
Vitamin D contributes to bone calcification.
On muscles, muscle function and the risk of falling
Vitamin D helps maintain muscle function. It is involved in muscle contraction and recovery***.
Vitamin D helps reduce the risk of falls in the elderly, associated with postural instability and muscular weakness, by around 30%. Falls in the elderly can lead to hospitalization or fractures with complications.
On the immune system
Immune system cells, or white blood cells, protect the body from pathogens. Vitamin D contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system, which ensures the body's natural defenses.
On the teeth
Teeth are protected by enamel. The hardness of enamel is linked to a process called remineralization. Through this process, minerals present in saliva help keep teeth strong. Vitamin D helps maintain normal dentition.
Beneath the enamel is dentin, which contains immune guard cells. Vitamin D also contributes to immune function.
Health claims
*Vitamin D contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.
**Vitamin D and magnesium help maintain normal bone and muscle function.
***In adults aged 60 and over, vitamin D may help reduce the risk of falls. The beneficial effect is observed with a daily intake of 20 µg of vitamin D, from all sources.

Science: Dielen D3+ - The scientific evidence for Laboratoire Dielen
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. It is soluble in fats.
It exists in the diet in 2 precursor forms:
- vitamin D2, also known as ergocalciferol, which comes mainly from plant-based foods
- vitamin D3, also known as cholecalciferol, which comes from foods of animal origin.
Vitamin D has 2 possible origins:
- It comes from food.
- It is synthesized in the skin, thanks to the action of the sun's rays (UVB) which transform cholesterol into vitamin D3.
Vitamin D3 is transported to the liver, where it is hydroxylated to calcidiol. This form is either stored in fat and liver or transformed in the kidneys into calcitriol, the active form of vitamin D. These reactions are made possible by enzymes in which magnesium is the enzymatic cofactor.
It's a good idea to expose your skin to the sun, but beware of overexposure, which can damage skin health. For this reason, it's best to prioritize outdoor activities, but protect yourself at midday.
Vitamin D reserves can be depleted in autumn and winter, as sunlight does not allow sufficient synthesis of vitamin D3. It is therefore necessary to obtain other sources of vitamin D through diet and supplementation.
Foods rich in vitamin D are often under-consumed. This partly explains the nutritional deficit in France.
Here is a non-exhaustive list of foods rich in vitamin D, in descending order, taken from the Ciqual table (reference database on the nutritional composition of foods in France):
- Cod liver oil: 250 µg vitamin D per 100 g.
- Herring: between 10 and 22 µg of vitamin D per 100 g
- Rainbow trout: 15 µg vitamin D per 100 g.
- Canned sardines: between 10 and 13 µg per 100 g
- Salmon: between 8 and 13 µg of vitamin D per 100 g.
- Eggs: the yolk contains 11 µg per 100 g.
- Tuna: 7 µg vitamin D per 100 g.
- Smoked salmon: 5 µg vitamin D per 100 g.
- 70% cocoa dark chocolate: 2.16 µg vitamin D per 100 g.
Because dietary intake is often insufficient, it is useful to supplement regularly in the following cases:
- Adults: in autumn, winter and spring if sun exposure is low.
- Hospitalized or institutionalized patients
- Sportsmen and women
- The elderly.
- People with little pigmentation
The minimum duration of supplementation is 3 consecutive months, renewable.
Supplements can be taken regularly, but in recommended doses.
- Do not exceed a dose of 50 µg or 2000 IU per day. Regular daily intake is beneficial.
- Prefer dietary supplements containing at least one source of fat. Vitamin D is fat-soluble, and is best absorbed when accompanied by a lipid.
- Combine with magnesium for vitamin D3 conversion.
Several scientific studies show that daily vitamin D intake is nutritionally more interesting, as it is better adapted to the body's ongoing metabolic needs. [2] [3]
In the body, the enzymes that convert vitamin D3 into vitamin D work with magnesium, which acts as an enzyme cofactor.
These vitamin D biosynthesis reactions take place in the blood, liver and kidneys. The diagram below illustrates the biochemical reactions involved in converting the D3 form into vitamin D.
Health claims
*Vitamin D contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.
*Vitamin D and magnesium help maintain normal bone and muscle function.
*Vitamin D reduces the risk of falls in the elderly associated with postural instability and muscular weakness.
Excess vitamin D should be avoided.
In fact, at high doses (> 250 µg/day), vitamin D can lead to excess calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia), or in the urine (hypercalciuria), facilitating the formation of kidney stones.
In healthy adults, the European health authorities (EFSA) recommend not exceeding a dose of 250 µg / day, i.e. 20,000 IU / day.
In France, the maximum dose permitted in food supplements is 50 µg or 2000 IU / day.
