NUTRISSOME® SP, a unique formula

Bioactive peptides, Gabolysat® Stress

These bioactive peptides of marine origin are the result of Laboratoire Dielen research. They are exclusive to the Dielen range. They are small proteins characterized by their small size. Their molecular weight of less than 1500 Daltons is at the origin of their bioavailability, i.e. their digestive absorption.

Their properties have been demonstrated in several studies published in scientific journals.

Gabolysat® Stress marine peptides are produced in Brittany using a patented process, from wild fish caught in the North Atlantic. Laboratoire Dielen has selected a number of everyday fish species whose resources are not threatened. Their sustainable fishing in France is controlled by European regulations. These fish are not fished specifically for this production, but rather Laboratoire Dielen valorizes certain by-products to extract bioactive marine peptides.

The double release of melatonin

The Nutrissome® SP tablet is an innovation patented by Laboratoire Dielen.

This film-coated tablet is the first dual-release melatonin device:

  • Sublingual release: rapid release under the tongue. The sublingual route avoids degradation by the liver. It promotes rapid melatonin action.
  • Sustained release: delayed, continuous release throughout the night. After swallowing, the tablet core slowly dissolves during the first hours of the night, gradually releasing the melatonin and nutritional complex.

The nutritional complex

As we age, the brain produces less melatonin. This drop in production can be the cause of difficulty falling asleep.

Melatonin is produced by the brain from a precursor: tryptophan. It also requires specific trace elements and vitamins that act as enzymatic cofactors.

That's why Nutrissome® SP combines bioactive marine peptides with tryptophan, melatonin, vitamins D3, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, magnesium and zinc.

Dielen gastro-protective film coating

Nutrissome® SP tablets benefit from the Dielen film coating, which protects nutrients from gastric acidity by delaying their release into the intestine. The film coating uses no chemical additives, only gums of natural origin.

Health benefits :

The sleep-inducing benefits of melatonin

Melatonin is a hormone produced in our brain by the epiphysis gland. Its main function is to provide our body with temporary cues, which is why it is essential to the circadian regulation of our sleep.

Melatonin has two main benefits for sleep:

  • It helps you fall asleep quickly.
  • It helps reduce the effects of jet lag.

A lack of melatonin production by the body can lead to sleep disturbances.

As melatonin is not considered an essential nutrient, no recommended daily intake has been established. On the other hand, scientific studies have shown that melatonin supplementation helps people to fall asleep.

Nutrissome® SP tablets provide 0.7 mg sublingual melatonin for rapid sleep on set and 1 mg sustained-release melatonin.

A natural solution for jet lag

With jet lag, the sleep-wake cycle is disrupted, which also has repercussions on melatonin production and sleep.

For optimum effect on jet lag, Nutrissome® SP should be taken just before bedtime on the first day of travel, and for a few days after arrival at your destination.

Supplementation is provided for 1 month, or as needed.

Sleep hygiene recommendations

Here are the recommendations recommended by the Sleep Centers in France. They are simple to implement, and form the basis for the management of sleep disorders.

  • Respect the rhythm and duration of your sleep
  • Don't put off falling asleep: biological clock
  • Respect a bedtime ritual: reading, herbal tea, schedule...
  • Avoid psychotonics in the evening: tea, coffee, energy drinks, alcohol...
  • Avoid all screens at bedtime (blue light)
  • Ensure total darkness of the room
  • Maintain a moderate room temperature of 18°C
  • Avoid visual, acoustic and intellectual stress before bedtime
  • Avoid physical activity at least 3 hours before bedtime
  • Eat lightly in the evening to aid digestion
  • Get up at a fixed time every morning, including weekends
  • Get moving during the day with outdoor activities in sunlight
  • Consult your GP or a regional sleep center

How long does a box last?

At 1 tablet per day, each box contains 1 month of supplementation.

Precautions for use

  • Not recommended for those allergic to fish.
  • Not suitable for children under 18.
  • Seek the advice of a healthcare professional if you are taking any other medication at the same time (particularly antidepressants, hypnotics or St. John's Wort), or if you have epilepsy, asthma or mood, behavior or personality disorders.
  • Not recommended for people suffering from inflammatory or auto-immune diseases, pregnant or breast-feeding women, or for people who have to carry out activities requiring sustained vigilance and who may be at risk of drowsiness.
  • Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

The many biological functions of the human body are regulated by circadian rhythms. The main circadian clock is managed in the brain by the hypothalamus. It regulates the alternation of sleep-wake rhythms, internal body temperature and the secretion of certain hormones, as well as metabolic and dietary rhythms.

This biological clock "gives time to our body", yet it doesn't work in isolation, and many factors, known as "external synchronizers", influence its cycle. The most powerful synchronizer of the circadian rhythm is alternating light and darkness, but physical and social activity, as well as diet, also play an important role.

Melatonin is one of the essential "messengers" for our circadian clock. The secretion of this hormone prepares the body for rest and sleep. As soon as light levels fall, melatonin secretion increases. The body goes into "sleep mode". For a person with "normal" circadian regulation, melatonin levels will rise considerably around 9:00 p.m. (i.e. about 1 to 2 hours before the usual time for falling asleep) and peak melatonin release will be reached between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m.. Secretion then declines, and melatonin is no longer present during the day.

Melatonin is largely produced by the epiphysis. It is synthesized by the body in two stages from serotonin, which is derived from the transformation of tryptophan.

Melatonin biosynthesis includes several cofactors shown in the diagram below.

Melatonin acts on :

  • Falling asleep: published data indicate that melatonin supplementation reduces the time taken to fall asleep (latency time) in people suffering from insomnia [2] [3]. The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 1 mg of melatonin before bedtime.
  • Jet lag: the authors of two reviews published in 2002 and 2009 respectively analyzed the results of 9 and 14 clinical trials: they concluded that melatonin was effective and safe in preventing or reducing the effects of jet lag. [4]. Its beneficial effect is obtained by consuming at least 0.5 mg of melatonin just before bedtime on the first day of travel and for a few days after arrival at the destination.

Although melatonin is produced naturally by the brain, it can be disrupted by certain behavioral or environmental factors.

Melatonin secretion is disrupted by inappropriate exposure to light. For example, exposure to blue light from screens (TV, computer, smartphone) can delay melatonin secretion, making it difficult to fall asleep. :

  • Difficulty in falling asleep
  • Multiple nocturnal awakenings,
  • Delayed sleep phases,
  • Complicated morning wake-up call,

These symptoms are usually accompanied by other signs of sleep deprivation:

  • Fatigue during the day,
  • Daytime sleepiness,
  • Irritability,
  • Loss of alertness,
  • Difficulty concentrating,
  • Mood disorders,

Melatonin absorption by the oral route is only 15%, due to degradation by the liver (hepatic first pass). Maximum blood concentration is reached in 15 and 90 minutes, depending on the dose [5] [6].

By avoiding the first hepatic passage, the sublingual form (under the tongue) facilitates melatonin assimilation [7].

The properties of Gabolysat® Stress peptides, developed and patented by Laboratoire Dielen, have been published in scientific journals. These studies have highlighted the beneficial effects of the peptides [8][9].
