DIELEN® PROTECT, a unique formula
High-dose glutamine
Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body. It is very present in the digestive system and muscles. Despite its abundance, this amino acid becomes essential in some cases. Scientific workhas shown beneficial properties of glutamine at dosages between 5 and 15 g per day.
The Dielen® Protect formula guarantees a high glutamine dosage of 5 g per sachet with an optimal daily dose of 15 g per day , i.e. 1 sachet after each meal.
Gabolysat® Stress Marine Peptides
The gut and digestive function are dependent on the nerve and hormonal axis with the brain. Psychological stress is thus a factor involved in digestive functioning.
Gabolysat® Stress peptides are small proteins of marine origin resulting from the search for Laboratoire Dielen. They are exclusive to the Dielen range. These peptides are characterized by their low molecular weight, which is the source of their nutritional and biological properties.
Gabolysat® Stress marine peptides are produced in Brittany from wild fish caught in the North Atlantic. The Laboratoire Dielen selects certain species of fish for everyday consumption whose fishery resources are not threatened. Their sustainable fishing in France is controlled by European regulations. These fish are not caught specifically for the Laboratoire Dielen. On the contrary, the Laboratory recycles certain co-products to extract bioactive marine peptides.
Synergy of components
The Dielen® Protect formula combines highly-dosed glutamine with Gabolysat® Stress marine peptides and vitamin B2.
Thebenefits of Dielen® Protect's ingredients were confirmed by a study carried out in Rouen and published in2023 in an international scientific journal [1]. This formula opens up a new nutritional approach to digestive well-being based on scientific knowledge of glutamine at a dose of 5 to 15 g per day.
Vitamin B2 contributes to the maintenance of mucous membranes and protects cells from oxidative stress.
Health benefits :
Glutamine is your digestive system's ally
Glutamine plays a crucial role in maintaining a healthy digestive system.
According to a study published in the journal "Nutrients" in 2017, glutamine is the main source of energy for cells in the intestinal wall, known as enterocytes. It helps maintain the integrity of the intestinal barrier, preventing bacteria and toxins from entering the bloodstream.
Taking care of your intestinal mucosa
The intestinal mucosa plays an important role as a selective barrier to protect the body from toxins from a poor diet. This barrier is provided in particular by proteins located between the cells of the intestine. These so-called "tight junction" proteins can be weakened, thus modifying the barrier function of the intestinal mucosa.
Glutamine provides an essential source of energy for the cells of the intestinal mucosa, known as enterocytes. These cells have a high turnover rate and therefore require a significant amount of energy to maintain their function and integrity. According to a study published in the journal "Gut" in 2000, glutamine is one of the main fuels used by enterocytes to produce energy.
The Role of Vitamin B2
Vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, plays an important role in the health of the lining of the digestive system. It helps maintain the integrity of the intestinal mucosa and prevent tissue damage and inflammation.
Vitamin B2 is necessary for energy production in cells, including those in the intestinal lining. It helps maintain the function and integrity of mucosal cells by promoting the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), an energy molecule essential for cellular life.
Health claim
Vitamin B2 contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes and protects cells from oxidative stress.

Science:
Dielen® Protect - scientific evidence from Laboratoire Dielen.
Dielen® Protect has been developed in collaboration with the INSERM UMR 1073 research laboratory based in Rouen, Normandy, which specializes in eating behavior and the functioning of the intestinal mucosa.
In France, according to a Harris Interactive survey, 28% of those questioned claim to use dietary supplements for their digestive well-being [1]. With this in mind, Laboratoire Dielen has launched a research program in collaboration with teams in Rouen, based on the latest scientific knowledge, to develop an innovative and effective nutritional solution for digestive well-being.
The properties of the Dielen® Protect formula were studied and presented in a scientific publication published in 2023 in an international journal. [2]

Clinical study in progress: the ACALMI project
The ACALMI project(efficAcité d'un Complément ALiMentaire dans le syndrome de l'intestin Irritable) is an ongoing clinical trial designed to assess the efficacy of Dielen Protect in patients suffering from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Why this study?
IBS affects approximately 4.1% of the population and is defined, according to the Rome IV criteria, by recurrent abdominal pain (at least once a week for 3 months), associated with at least two of the following criteria:
-
pain during defecation,
-
a change in stool frequency,
-
a change in stool consistency.
This pathology leads to significant impairment of quality of life and high healthcare costs.
Several abnormalities may be involved in IBS, such as:
-
visceral hypersensitivity,
-
deregulation of the microbiota-gut-brain axis,
-
or intestinal hyperpermeability.
How does the study work?
The ACALMI study is being conducted at Rouen University Hospital using a rigorous methodology:
-
100 patients included, divided into two groups (placebo or Dielen Protect),
-
Duration: 8 weeks of supplementation,
-
Double-blind evaluation (neither patient nor doctor knows which product is being taken).
The criteria observed relate to :
-
the evolution of the disease severity score,
-
changes in quality of life, anxiety and abdominal pain scores,
-
and intestinal microbiota analysis.
A commitment to science
This study illustrates Laboratoire Dielen 's commitment to scientifically demonstrate the effectiveness of its products, in line with its approach based on research and innovation.
This study is supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
