Dielen® Protect voted "Jury's Favourite" at Nutriform Business Days 2024

Nutriform Business Days: a not-to-be-missed event

Nutriform Business Days is one of the most important events in the natural health products industry. Every year, this international congress brings together the sector's leaders, from ingredient suppliers to manufacturers and R&D experts.

This year, for the first time, an independent jury of experts put the spotlight on the most innovative and effective products with the Prix des Compléments Alimentaires des Laboratoires Marques. Receiving the Jury's Coup de Cœur award, unanimously, in this prestigious setting is a true recognition of our commitment to quality and innovation.

We would like to warmly thank the Nutriform Business Days jury for this recognition, as well as our team of researchers and partners for their dedication and expertise. Finally, a big thank you to you, our customers, for your trust and ongoing support. It's thanks to you that we can continue to innovate and offer you products of the highest quality.

Dielen Protect: innovation and science for your intestinal health

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common functional digestive disorder that affects the quality of life of millions of people worldwide.

According to a study published in "Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology" in 2014 (1), around 11% of the world's population suffers from IBS. In France, the prevalence of IBS is estimated at around 5.9% of the general population, according to a French epidemiological study published in "Gastroenterology Clinics and Biology" in 2012 (2).

Unfortunately, current treatments for IBS are not effective for all patients. A study published in "The American Journal of Gastroenterology" in 2012 (3) found that up to 40% of IBS patients do not respond adequately to available drug treatments.

Furthermore, a meta-analysis published in the "Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology" in 2014 (4) showed that probiotics can be beneficial for some IBS patients, but efficacy varies according to the probiotic strain and the composition of the individual's gut microbiota, with around 30% to 40% of patients not responding to probiotics.

With this in mind, Laboratoire Dielen has launched a research program in collaboration with teams from INSERM Unit 1073 at Rouen University Hospital, based on the latest scientific knowledge, to develop an innovative and effective nutritional solution for digestive well-being.

With science and innovation as our leitmotiv, we developed Dielen® Protect in collaboration with Professor Pierre Déchelotte's team (Rouen University Hospital). Dielen® Protect was studied at the INSERM-Université de Rouen-Normandie UMR 1073 research laboratory, specializing in nutritional and digestive disorders, and in particular the links between diet, the intestinal barrier and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, under the direction of Pr Moïse Coëffier.
