Marine collagen peptides, Promerim® Chondro
This marine active ingredient is the result of Laboratoire Dielen research. It is produced in Brittany from a selection of fish caught in the North Atlantic.
The process developed and patented by Laboratoire Dielen produces small collagen peptides known as Very Low Molecular Weight (VLMW ). Their weight is less than 1500 daltons. They are therefore composed of 2 to 15 amino acids.
These TBPM collagen peptides have special properties because they are bioavailable, i.e. assimilable by the body. Their properties have been studied historically in studies published in scientific journals.
Promerim® collagen peptides® Chondro collagen peptides differ from other collagens in their :
- geographical origin: French (Brittany)
- marine origin: selections of wild fish species
- structure: low molecular weight (LMW) collagen peptides
- production process: patented gentle hydrolysis

Laboratoire Dielen has selected everyday fish species whose resources are not threatened. Their sustainable fishing in France is controlled by European regulations. These fish are not caught specifically for this production. Instead, Laboratoire Dielen extracts bioactive collagen peptides fromcertain collagen-rich by-products.

Ostéocalm® Gel combines the effectiveness of collagen peptides with that of cryotherapy thanks to plant menthol.

Menthol, through its cooling effect, provides comfort based on the principle of cryotherapy.
Menthol helps drain fluid, refreshes, and relieves congestion. It is therefore used in many products designed to relieve heavy and swollen legs, providing immediate relief. It also acts as a pain reliever through a “cooling effect” that helps alleviate muscle and joint pain.

How do I use it?
🔵 Tube
Apply the gel to the affected area, massaging gently. Wash your hands thoroughly after use.

How many times a day?
1 to 3 times a day on heated areas.
Precautions for use
- Keep out of reach of children.
- For children over 7, application should be under adult supervision.
- Do not apply to damaged or irritated skin.
- Not for use by pregnant or breast-feeding women.
- Avoid contact with eyes and/or mucous membranes.
- In case of accidental eye contact, rinse eyes thoroughly with water or saline solution.
- Do not use if allergic to fish, menthol or alcohol.
- If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately.
- Do not cover with a bandage.
- Do not apply with external heat, such as an electric heating pad, as this may cause excessive irritation or skin burns.
- Gel for external use.

The clinical study presented below compares the cold effect of menthol with that of ice. It demonstrates the benefits of menthol in reducing the intensity of muscle contracture pain (VAS test).

Frequently asked questions
Both formats contain the same Ostéocalm® Gel formula. The only difference is the method of application. The tube allows for manual application combined with a massage, while the roll-on allows the gel to be applied directly to the target area using its applicator ball.
Menthol and essential oils are not recommended during pregnancy or while breast-feeding.
There is a risk of passage through the placenta, which is dangerous for the baby.
The same applies to breast-feeding, as essential oils can pass into breast milk.
The absorption of peptides depends on their structure, and particularly on their molecular weight.
Absorption can take place by internalization if molecular weights are below 1500 daltons, or by passive diffusion when they do not exceed 500 daltons.
80% of the peptides present in Ostéocalm® Gel are less than 1500 daltons and 30% less than 300 daltons. So, in theory, Promerim® low-molecular-weight collagen peptides pass well through the skin.
The local cooling effect is almost immediate. For a more intense cooling effect, Ostéocalm® Gel can be stored in the refrigerator.
The cooling effect of menthol is felt after a few minutes. This effect is prolonged. It lasts over time.
