Monacolin K from red yeast rice contributes to maintaining normal cholesterolemia. The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 10 mg of monacolin K. The EPA and DHA omega-3 in fish oil contributes to normal cardiac functioning. The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 250 mg of EPA and DHA every day. Coenzyme Q10, also called ubiquinone, is a natural antioxidant involved in many cellular processes. Its synthesis by the body diminishes with age and without the action of certain drugs.
